“If it weren’t for Patrice and the MIBTP, I would not be living my dream. It started back in 1994 when I graduated from NYU. With a degree in hand and an eagerness to find work, the job search began. It went nowhere. For two years I sent out tape after tape and not one bite. On a whim, I sent my last tape to MIBTP. Finally, a callback and job opportunity! Since I speak fluent Spanish, they placed me at KWES-TV in Midland, TX. I quickly transitioned from reporter to weather anchor and started Mississippi State University’s distance learning meteorology program. After a year and a half I moved to Santa Maria, CA where I worked at KCOY-TV for almost three years. Then it was on to Seattle and finally back home in New York. Without the MIBTP, I know I would not be where I am today. I love my job and more importantly, I’m home with family. Thanks Patrice and the MIBTP.”
